We are all going to Cumbria to the Solfest festival. This will be our 3rd time, & I much prefer going to a small festival now I have young kids.

Always something going on at North Yorkshire Moors Railway, Pickering. Good camp site is the Black Bull, around a mile out of Pickering Town Centre on a bus route.

Guess it depends on what kind of thing you like. Malham show on the Saturday is always a good family day for us, especially the fell racing

The British and European tractor pulling championships are on the Saturday and Sunday of the bank holiday at Great Eccleston, Lancs - very noisy but great to watch. There's loads of campsites in the surrounding area - I've just come back from a lovely one not too far from there - but the nearest one is Park Raikes Farm, Garstang Road Great Eccleston.
