Weybourne on the Norfolk coast is good for beach casting, has deep water on the shoreline.

There are a few fishing forums out there and people provide info and feedback on best spots. Worth doing a google to find them.

Have you considered Anglesey ? I wish I lived there. I came back from Ireland last Sat evening, managed to get some excellent sea fishing done. Holyhead port wall was teaming with anglers, mind you it must be about two miles long. There are some excellent rock marks with deep water all around the island.

For Norfolk and Suffolk try this site www.easternanglers.net - you need to register to see the catch reports, but it's free
To be honest, East Anglia isn't too good for sea fishing in the summer, but you could try Kessingland, Cley and Salthouse - they usually produce something.

I used to fish at Cley off the beach at night and have had many sea bass, usually on high quality black lugworm. Like any where it really depends on the weather and the fish themselves. I have also heard of someone taking a 6lbs bass being taken off of the Cromer pier earlier this year.

On Chesil beach Dorset with feathers for mackerel , ps, you will not be alone, literally hundreds of anglers go there but Chesil is over 10 miles long so you will easily find a spot.

Thanks for your replys, by coincidence, we have been to Anglesey, a very long walk!

Am going to try Cley, but got a dinghy, and off to Filey with my compass and sponge soon (not joking)

thanks again
