Hi there. to keep my kids occupied during family walks in the woods, I often write a list of items for them to look for or collect (e.g. 3 different shaped leaves, something manmade, a feather etc.), then given them a small prize or treat when we reach our destination. It always goes down a treat.
Whilst preparing for this bank holiday weekend's camping trip to the forest of dean I thought I'd see if there was one on the net I could download, and to my luck I've found this:
http://www.scavengerhuntsforkids.com/naturewalk.html
It's perfect and includes pictures to help the younger kids find their items.
I've packed some naughty treats (Freddos and love hearts) but also found some carabina pens in wilkinsons for about 30p each.
Enjoy x
