We would like to go walking on the Suffolk beach/coast and wondered in anyone knew of a quiet (prefferably adult only) site within a mile of access to the beach.  We have found a few big holiday park type sites which aren't really our thing - something without a club-house is more our style!

Any ideas anyone - its just the two of us plus livley collie who needs big walks.

this one is just up the coast a bit in norfolk , nice quiet well kept site , although it has a small clubhouse its not a noisy place , the camping field overlooks the beach , beautiful beaches that stretch for many miles , a favourite with a few on here ,,

Steve, there's nothing coming up when I click on the link, don't know if it's just me, however for the op it's Drewery Caravan Site, California, Norfolk in campsite search.

It's my favourite site down that neck of the woods and the one I go to at least once a year. Great for the dog, there's quite a stretch of heathland at the end of the site and the beach is only a few steps and a path away. With a motorhome you can have an electric pitch on the touring section or a pitch on the camping field where you can go more or less where you want unless you specifically want ehu.

As said, there's a small clubhouse on site but it's not noisy, also there's a nice pub just across the lane which does really good meals, a shop by the site entrance and also a cafe/takeaway.

Not adults only unfortunately but still a decent site if you don't mind staying a bit up the coast from Suffolk, and it's in a lovely area

Thanks for that, will give it a go.  We live in Hastings, which being in the south eastern corner can be a bit inconvenient when only having a couple of days free - we always seem to be stuck getting across London or stuck on the busy southern coast roads. But we do love Suffolk and its not too bad to get to, we're also trying a little site in Essex this weekend which also promises good walks - will leave a review.

Dan's meadow at Martlesham is lovely, very dog friendly, good walks nearby and a river if your dog likes swimming. You would have to drive to a beach though.

Hi, might not be quite what you are looking for but we have just returned from a week at Cliff House near Dunwich.  It's not adult only and it has a restaurant/bar/play area and is quite large but we found that whilst the children were at school, midweek, it was extremely quiet.  We were pitched on plot 131 which is in a separate area, sectioned off by trees so it felt quite private.  Best thing about this site?  You have the beach right on your doorstep.

Not a site but go and have a look at Shingle Street. It's ideal if you want a quiet beach. In the winter there are usually a few very depressed looking people sitting on the pebbles and looking mournfully out to sea
