Hi Everyone, i am planning to go camping near dumfries so i can experience the 7 stanes area and hope to fit in maybe three of the rides/areas - Kirroughtree, Dalbeattie and Mabie. I just wondered if anyone else had been there and had any tips or advice to help me enjoy the trip a little bit more!!

Thanks

Hi we were up there in May and did the green and blue route at kirroughtree and the blue route at glentrool.   We are all new to mountain biking, family with kids 9 and 11 but really enjoyed all routes. The blue route at Kittoughtree was exhilarating and althoupgh hard in parts this added to the sense of achievement. The blue route at Glentrool was my personal favourite as the views were spectacular and although my daughter (9)and I found it hard going uphill for so much at the start it was so worth it.

I was very impressed with both sites and the standard of the tracks.
