Some of the campsites do good deals on the ferry crossing.

tesco club cards points, we used them last year with our shogun and 24ft van, took over £60 off the trip.

I could do with some idea of timetables etc, especially as it's bank holiday & I've never used a ferry before (it's just me & the kids in the car)
Hi, Check out Red funnel and Wightlink websites they will give you ideas of prices and sailing times depending on where you are sailing from and to,
If i remember correctly to get prices and times enter your details as if you were booking dont worry nothing is booked till you press confirm on the last pages, we sailed earlier this year from southampton to east cowes and it was simple the ferry operators will guide you through,
Good luck and enjoy yourself.

You can only use the vouchers on Wightlink. I'd make sure you check availability before you order your vouchers. We ended up going with Red Funnel last year as there were no ferries on the May half-term Saturday between 9-5, think everyone else with vouchers booked before us, that's said the Sunday should be quieter. If you end up going with Red Funnel there's a great playground right next to the dock.
Enjoy! We love the IOW.
