It is the 2nd time I have used this company & been really impressed.  My map arrived next day having ordered it by phone around 9.30am (to check they had it in stock)  & was much cheaper than the shops.Great fast efficient service from dash4it.Hope this info may be useful. They have other things as well.

I simply print mine from OS website about £19 for a year and print as many maps as you want. I use them for walking and cycling as I can just print the area I need rather than having to open a massive sheet up just for a quick check of something.

It's always great to open up a new OS map! We've used 'dash4it' several times and also recommend them very highly.
Perhaps it's something about having a Compass Omega 482.

....and they run special offers sometimes, for Camping and Caravan club members, I only paid £14 last year. I love the website and plot all my walks on it and then save them and print out the maps. Also easy to upload to Garmin GPS and vice versa. I also like my maps but sometimes when going to a new area it is goint to cost a fortune to keep buying maps when as birder says you only need a small area. The library can lend you the map if you want to see the whole area and you can keep your print out.

Hi,

Thanks for the replies. I did not know about the membership thing & printing off.

Have to say I like having maps in my bookcase to look at whenever.

I agree Kent, nice to hold a map and see the whole area around you too as you walk, it gives a concept of where you are in the area.

But it is worth having a look at the OS Webiste and Get A Map section. You don't have to subscribe to access the maps and plot and print your walks and save them in separate folders that you create to keep them in order.

A subsctription allows you to print them in 25000 scale and have a full screen map image, change the line marking colour and transparency etc. Well worth the subscription, in my view.
