Not very familiar with your area, so can't suggest anywhere specific for you to try. But to try to find good walks when we go away we look at a site called walkingworld.com Link and find that pretty helpful.
Although there are some free sample walks, you do have to pay, but you can buy just a single walk rather than the annual fee.
It lets you search by how hard you want the walk to be, any features (e.g. sea), and how far you want to walk.
You also get to download a map & description of the route, see reviews from other walkers, etc.
Hope this helps.
------------- Good times and great adventures await...
I have been recommended to try the Dorset coast by my neighbours who camp regularly at a site called Freshwater Beach Holiday Park.

Thanks for the heads up on walkingworld.com. Have actually booked CC site near Wareham in Dorset so fingers crossed. Really wanted to revisit Wales but sounds like weather not so good over in the west nxt few days and also maybe a bit too far to travel for a long weekend.
Wareham Forest has good cycling opportunities, and I am looking forward to let the dog run next to my bike when I return to Birchwood Tourist Park in July this year.

For Cycling try Devizes c&cc club site its right on the canal where you can cycle as far as Bristol if you have the energy, we did Bath and back in a day, some nice pubs on the side of the canal too.
Wolverley c&cc site is 2 mins from the canal with good cycling and a nice pub at the nearby lock.
Runt in tun CS site at Heathfield is next to an off road cycle path which takes you down to Eastbourne.
There is also a cycle path from Cheddar and good walking here too. J x
