we are staying at holmsley in the new forest at the end of may, what things are there to do near there for children mainly(aged 10), but anything that will keep us all occupied, bearing in mind we will have dogs with us too.
I wondered about the reptile centre, but couldn't see anywhere whether you can take dogs. I'll give them a ring. We'll definitely be doing lots of walks and exploring.
Barton on Sea is good for Fossil hunting
Bucklers Hard is a great day out

Ringwood Town and Country Experience
Christchurch Castle
We went last June for the first time and these were the places I found looking on the web, at the time we didn't have a dog so you'd have to check their websites, you should be able to find the websites quite easily, but if you can go to Hurst Castle, we all thoroughly enjoyed it, walking along the spit in was a challenge!

If it's a bad wet and windy day, stick the kids on the I.o.Wight ferry and take the dogs for a walk.
stick them on there on their own...now that's an idea lol
Not massive, but its a good afternoon out. They have a good selection of animals that you wouldn't normally see and a fab kiddies play area! Just watch out for the deer - they love to nibble anything that's mouth sized :)
