Hi guys, we've just started camping this year with our 2 children aged 5 and 13, so far we have done 2 haven holiday sites. We're looking for other family camp sites around the uk with things to do for the kids, a pool and good evening entertainment. We know about stanwix park and are going to go there, anyone know any other sites to try?

or park resorts are all good and bit cheaper than haven (and better entertainment imho)

Park Resorts and Away Resorts are fine with kids. There are plenty down the East Coast down to Kent.

I can recommend the Haven site at Cleethorpes, it's called Thorpe Park. Apparently it's the largest Haven site but it doesn't feel like that!
It has a great swim complex, good park, direct access to the beach and lots of open space. The camping pitches (with EHU) are all a good size. The shower/toilet blocks are clean and sufficient. Outdoor but covered washing - up sinks. There is a full entertainment programme - day and night. Cleethorpes is a much overlooked seaside town - quite old fashioned in many respects! Traditional promenade with direct parking, land train, a steam railway, nice park area and lots more. Grimsby (next door) is not so great but the Fishing Heritage Museum is worth a free visit!

We have already done 2 Haven sites this year, blue dolphin in Yorkshire and Lakeland, we really enjoyed them and were actually planning Thorpe park one at Easter next year do great to know its a good site :) x
