Hi to you all of you out there that are still alive and have not become a cycling accident statistic.
The wearing of Hi-Vis clothing and Daytime High Intensity Lighting are not the only means of being visible.
Ones choice of paint scheme can be very influential in being seen and especially from a broadside perspective.
Look at the very visible White/Green of Cannondale and the White/Black of other makes not least of all the 2010 White/Black of the Claud Butler Levante.
My Bianchi ViaNirone7 Alu Carbon is quite visible in Celeste with white flashes about the frame.
One of the best ways of being very visible is the position that one rides on the road. Out from the gutter and sunken grids and the dropped manhole covers.
From my experience of 45yrs+ of driving and of riding both cycles and motorcycles if one is close to or on the gutter-line you will just blend into the visible line that is projected ahead and often the Hi-Vis gear will only serve at the last minute to alert some of the brain-dead myopic drivers of the killing machines.

-------------
Failure to do your pre-towing checks could get you checked into a hospital or much worse -- a mortuary!!!
