Another question - has anyone been, or does anyone know, if there are any Khyam Quick Erect Awnings on display here - if so, where -  they told me they would be!

Well quite looking forward to the Show, got down to the Premiere Classe at Coventry for 19:30hrs last night and had a slap up meal at the nearby Nando's great value and great food, at just under £25 for the pair of us. Although the place was rammed but we got served quickly and politely.

Had to laugh, the motorway signs said that the M6 was congested at J9 which to be fair it normally is, sign also said that the M6 Toll was clear, which it always is, we were coming from upt North.

So I stuck with the M6 and it was clear all the way, the little tinkers.

Obviously a rouse to get you to spend £5 on the M6 Toll, you can't trust anyone these days!

The Premiere Classe is fine but it's not like being at the ones in France that's for sure, can't grumble at the £35 Tariff though.

I'm looking at going to the summer show and taking our 'van. I've never been to anything like this before though and have always stayed on sites. These might sound like daft questions (sorry if they do!) but do these camps have shower and toilet to make use of? What about electric hook up too? Has anybody been to these before? Is it worth going for the full weekend and probably most importantly, how do I persuade the wife and kids to come with me?

The show was OK but not as good as the last time that I went to the February event.

Back in 2011 it was known as the "Caravan Camping & Boat" show.

The October show IMHO was better known as the "Caravan & MotorHome" show, so hardly any Tents, but more stuff to see.

I noticed the absence of a few exhibitors at the February show, Venture Caravans and the ferry folk DFDS ( aka NorfolkLine) to name but two.

I guess it is to costly for firms to attend every show at the NEC involved in the industry, I think it would be better if they just had one huge show, per year instead of the current 3 that happen.

I will probably just go to the October show from now on. The February show is currently being shown on a certain TV program that I can't for the life of me remember the name of!
