Park & Ride opposite the college at Askham Bar. Don't spoil and pollute our county capital (I'm a York lass orginally). http://www.itravelyork.info/park-and-ride/park-and-ride-sites You can alight the bus near Coppergate, you can clearly see Cliffords Tower on your right. Walking round the walls is a good way to see York. Forget Coney street its full high street, but go through the Shambles and see the Minster. There is a Pizza Express by Lendal bridge...lovely views, simple food and a bit of history. The one thing not to miss is the Jorvik Centre, it really is great. Not sure if its your thing but even song in the Minster is wonderful. I'm an RC and I can appreciate it
