Hi everyone. I have just joined this site and I have never written in a forum before so I hope this is right. I have just bought a trailer tent and I am planning on doing some travelling with the kids next summer hols. Nothing major... I would like to explore the Jurassic Coast because I live in Weymouth,Dorset, and I think we should go see more of our beautiful coastline near by. Does anyone have any planning advice or recommendations of places to stay in that part of the Southwest? It runs from Exmouth to Poole (ish!) I have a dog and 2 teenage boys, I would appreciate any tips or advice as this will be our first adventure!! 😊 thanks campers

This section doesn't seem to get many replies, I would try posting in UK sites section.
Personally we love Swanage.

Only just seen this post, but we stayed in Dorset over the August bank holiday. If you drive to Worth Matravers, there are a few walks you can do from there to various coves. We did a 'there and back' one, but it's possible to do circular walks of varying lengths and it's well signposted.

I'm not sure there are any campsites round there, but we drove past one called Burnbake on the road out to Studland Bay. It looked worthy of further investigation as it's in a great spot. There are great views from the Studland road over the bay to Poole and Bournemouth. You've also got the Pig on the Beach restaurant at Studland where you can treat yourself to a nice meal inside or order stone-baked pizza from a booth in the garden.

We were actually staying at Farrs Meadow campsite (check my review out) and drove down to the coast for the day to explore.
