Hi all, just started a new venture based around camping and caravaning. We are looking for camping and caravaning themed events that allow trade stands throughout the UK, any help will be much appreciated, thanks Valeman54

You must know that C&CC has various caravan & motorhome shows. Webmaster gives us alerts for them & you've been on UKCS for many years, so you'd know about those.
Don't bother coming to the Glasgow one, it's thin, but the Birmingham NEC one in the autumn might be worth your while.

There are various steam fairs throughout the country that allow camping and trade stands. Google is a wonderful search engine.

That's a great suggestion. I've been to lots of steam fairs and vintage rallies over the years, both as an exhibitor and visitor, and find that while there are often hardware-type stalls which may sell the odd items like caravan steps, suitcase stoves and folding chairs etc not many places have trade stalls solely dedicated camping/caravanning stuff.

It depends how far you want to travel but if that's the sort of thing you would be interested in then a good one to think of would be the Elvaston Steam Rally just outside Derby the first full weekend in July (the 7th & 8th this year) It's a great event with plenty for everyone, has two huge fields for camping and many UKCS members go every year. Another good one with camping is Pickering and there's also the Clwyd vintage rally held at the Oswestry showground on June 16th & 17th. If you could get hold of a copy of this month's Old Glory magazine from WH Smiths - it actually came out last month but you may still find it - there's a comprehensive list of shows and contact numbers for exhibitors and trade stands. Just be aware that if anything like this is of interest to you then you need to apply for a stall well in advance - most, if not all, rallies will have a final date for application.

Also Classic Car rallies, many around the country.
