Hello! I'm taking a holiday to Abersoch over the bank holiday. I'm taking my 6 year old niece and staying in my friend's caravan. Bit of a heads up - I've never really spent much time with her or any kids for that matter so I don't know much about how to entertain them. Does anyone have any ideas for stuff to do in Abersoch? Thanks

There's loads of lovely coastal walks! The main beach is lovely. I haven't been on bank holiday but I'd imagine it would be busy. A day trip to http://rabbitfarm.co.uk/ would be fun. Also try getting a toy or present to entertain them in the evening when you want to relax! https://www.goodoldgifts.com/gifts/girls/6-year-old-girls/

Well, Abersoch
a lovely Village with on the Beautiful Llyn Peninsula Gorgeous beach's And with the excellent hot warm sunny weather Forcast you will probably spend more time swimming and on the beach .sunbathing, there are lots of coastal walks Up to Sarn Bach and around to Port Ceriad . There are Horse riding stables with pony ride's around this area .. Call into the Visitors Centre for more Information In the Village .
Nice Market in Pwllheli every Wednesday, also good selection of shops .
Also Criccieth castle is worth a visit nice little town promenade and beach and Ice cream parlour. Ffestiniog Steam train is at Portmadog is a great day out With spectacular scenery and the town with a playpark ,has a variety of old high street shops and modern Tescos ,Wilko. Nearby is Blackrock sands with a five mile drive on beach .
There are Lots more places I could mention . I think If you go to all these places you will be very happy and tired but your Holiday will be a memorable one

I cant tell you about Abersoch, but having camped with a 6yo, I’d say

1) Make sure the parents are happy for you administer Calpol (and / or chocolate) as necessary

2) Stick a load of Disney on an iPad and use it without guilt

3) Be relaxed about discipline and be a friend rather than a surrogate parent

4) Niece may wet her bed, even if she’s reliably dry at home - have a plan for dealing with it.

5) Enjoy! You should have a fab time.
