Topic: Lymm circular walk

Went on a walk around one of my favourite places in Cheshire, Lymm.
Started at Church green off the A56 main road past the famous Lynn Dam .
And down the steep steps and path of The Dingle and the weir into the pretty village then across to Pepper street heading East to Longbutts lane following a sign to a path across open fields of golden corn .
Reaching St Peter's Church then crossing Outrington lane to a path alongside the Cricket club with panoramic views across field and Spud wood in the distance along the track.
Entering the Canopy of the dark Helsdale woods came upon Sandstone outcrop cave in a gully
Which was a quarry nearby a Mystical enshrouded dark pool ,
Flowing into Helsdale brook .
Coming out into the bright sunlight of the fields headed North past the picnic area then over Grantham bridge .
Then onto the Towpath of the Bridgewater canal going West, passing shortly under Lloyds
bridge .
Lots of static barges and boats sailing along .
Here the tranquillity of the canal give a peaceful feeling,
of wildlife lots of Herons skimming along the surface .
Passed an other field of tall corn growing and up to a Marina and dry dock with barges under repair .
Onwards further along came to the Arched Lymm bridge and village .
Walked around to peruse the busy shopping area with lots of coffee bars pubs .
Checked out the Heritage centre and The Cross and Stocks .
Then left by steep Rectory lane back to the Dam and finish a lovely walk ,with lots to see.
A Beautiful place for a visit .
With lots of different various walks

Hi gedsjeep.
When you have some leisure time for a ramble .
Park up on Crouchley lane by The community centre it's Freebies

And walk around Lymm Dam and the Bongs it's a circular walk about an hour .
Also you can walk the Canal tow paths and fields and woods like I did .
And nearby Is the TPT,
Trans Pennine trail which can be mixed with other trails .
They are all central to Lymm
