Just been on our local news that "Jacksons" camping (Old Arley nr Coventry) is on fire I'm not sure which bit, whether it's the shop area or if it's the caravans.

Huge shame, they're one our most popular dealers and suppliers in the midlands

This is sad news. West Midlands Caravans next door to Jacksons are still open though according to the statement on their web site.

IMPORTANT BREAKING NEWS

You may have heard of a fire at our neighbours premises 'Jacksons Camping & Accessories' store.

This has not in any way affected ourselves as we trade separately.

We are OPEN for business as usual

its so sad, I only went up their yesterday. i been using the store even when i was a child when me mum and dad had a van, its a great shame years of happy holidays the place has given thousands of people and well known all over.
a family run place were i felt as i know them as i been going for so long. i would help the rebuild it if they want me to help.

The whole building is destroyed and the police have now confirmed it was arson. Such a shame as this was a great store with staff that were helpfull and friendly. Just hope they can manage to re-build and long live the Jacksons name in camping.

I couldn't believe it when I saw it on the news. I was only there yesterday. Such a helpful family run business with staff who have been there years. Can't imagine how they must be feeling.
Why would someone do something like that !!!

UNFORTUNATELY, THE NEWS ABOUT JACKSONS IS TRUE AND A LOT OF DAMAGE WAS DONE IN THE EARLY HOURS OF THIS MORNING.

HOWEVER, PLEASE NOTE THAT WEST MIDLAND CARAVANS NEXT DOOR WASN'T TOUCHED BY THE FIRE SO ARE OPEN AS USUAL FOR BUSINESS.

WE ALL KNOW HOW HUGELY POPULAR THE FAMILY CAMPING SHOP WAS, BUT DONT WORRY - JACKSONS DO PLAN TO BE TRADING AGAIN, VERY SHORTLY IN THE ADJACENT BUILDING. PLANS SUGGEST IN A WEEK OR TWO.

My wife and I have been using Jacksons for years. Thanks to them they have given great holidays due the euipment they had availible for us. Our hearts go out to all at Jacksons.
