We bought our caravan in june when the weather was dry, as soon as the wet weather came the pitch became waterlogged so we are unable to use that particular area or park on it. We have reported the issue numerous times to the site staff who have made promises to have it sorted but up to now nothing has been done. Where do we stand on the legal side? We have said we would happily move onto another pitch but they want to charge us £1,500 to do so.

Think you need to have a word with CAB or similar.
I assume you have a contract? You could ask other owners if that particulat spot was prone to being waterlogged. If so, it should have been made clear at the time of purchase.
Try CAB. They'll point you in the right direction.

You should be able to claim using Consumer Rights Act 2015? See HERE

However for better legal advice I strongly recommend contacting "Which Legal Services" who part of the Which consumer magazine. First consultation is free.

Yes other owners have said it was a problem beforehand. This has been going on for 3 years

Most site licences use the Mobile Homes Act as a guide, so include a clause that "suitable surface water drainage must be provided to avoid pools of standing water".
If this has not been done, or if the site soakaways are clogged and not working, the department to contact is the local Environmental Health.

Bear in mind that if your complaint is about the grass area surrounding your static being too wet after heavy rain to use, or park on, they will probably not regard it as a problem.
If your complaint is that your static itself is unuseable because the surrounding area is waterlogged, or the hard standing areas are holding surface water, then they may be able to force the site owner to get something done.
It can take several hours for soakaways to clear surface water after very heavy rain.

Certainly sounds as if the soakaways are not doing their job.
Being sold a static with on-plot parking which cannot be used for weeks after rain rather points to something that is "not as described/not fit for intended purpose".
Could be worthwhile complaining both to Environmental Health (about standing water) and also the suggestions to contact Citizens Advice, or join Which legal.
Your static was presumably sold at a price that included the convenience of on-plot parking, so if this is not available to you then possibly a price reduction, a new on-plot soakaway, or free move to another pitch should be your options. You need to get advice how to word a formal complaint with your ideal solutions outlined.(Also check whether your home or static insurance includes a legal helpline).
