Hi, great website! I’m a new member, I am looking at buying an old Pemberton static, I have phone them but they don’t have details, I just wondered if any one on here would or might know if it could contain asbestos as I will be having to do some renovation to it. Cheers Matt
Welcome to UKCS. I don’t have a static but if you Search for asbestos in the Caravan Maintenance forum, I think you’ll find some reassurance in previous threads.
And there are a number of static experts who’ll be along soon.
If you remain concerned, have a survey done.
Not sure about the asbestos issue, but please do be very careful and do a lot of research before buying a static, especially an older one, unless you are going to put it on ground that you own. Static sites can be a minefield for the unwary. Definitely do not buy one that is not sited, unless of course you are buying it to put in the garden while you are renovating a house. Very few sites anywhere in Britain will accept a static that they haven't sold.

Colin21's warning is worth repeating, so I have repeated it.
You could ask Pemberton directly what the original roof for this model was made of. Unlikely to be asbestos. If the seller has replaced the roof, then they should be able to produce documentation saying what it was.
