Don't fall into the trap of buying a static off site then looking for a site to put it on. Unlikely you will find one. There are loads of unsited statics around, often really cheap, but there's a reason for that. No site will take them. Best way to go about it is to find a site that meets all your needs and wants, then buy from them. Be very careful though as there is very little regulation. Sites can change hands, which often means that any contract you signed will be void, and there is nothing to stop the new owners doubling the site fees or imposing age rules. It really is a minefield.
Personally, much as I like staying in statics, I'd never buy one even if I could afford it. I would look for a big touring caravan and put it on a seasonal site. There aren't usually any age limits on touring vans, and if you do have to move it, it can be towed away. Even if you don't have a big enough car to tow it, there are companies around who can do it for you, probably far cheaper than moving a static which would have to go on a large transporter truck.
------------- Best Regards,
Colin

Very good advice there from Colin21 - I'd give it some serious thought.
If you are planning to use for weekends, holidays and short getaways, then you need to consider how long it will take you to get to and from your static - you mention Suffolk and Norfolk, and also Kent and Sussex - even if you live centrally in Greater London, one of those is going to be quite a long drive, and the longer the drive the less viable a weekend break.
You want a swimming pool and clubhouse - which are two things that will keep the price up, why not look for somewhere without those things but with a nice local pub and maybe a local sports centre or lido?
Generally speaking, the nicer the area where the park is, the higher the pitch fee, and again it depends what you mean by low, but you need to consider at least £2,000 pa (plus VAT)as a starting price.
Age of the van - be wary of sites that say they have no age limit as long as you keep the van clean and tidy.
First, clean and tidy is their interpretation, not yours. 2nd, no age limit usually means an annually renewed contract, so the terms can be reviewed and changed at each renewal. "No age limit" can become "10 years, your van is too old, please remove it" at renewal.
Anyway, will you still want to use the van for so many years?
You are better off with a fixed term, some parks do give up to 25 years, but these are usually the lodge-types and usually with much higher pitch fees.
If a park is sold, the new owner will usually honour the existing contracts - but your contract will not mean that your quiet park does not get turned into an all-bells-and-whistles park, along with the increased pitch fee to pay for it.
Caravan parks are currently very big business, with investors from UK and USA actively seeking smaller private parks to buy up into their portfolios.
