Help. I wish to know of any caravan sites which are currently willing to accept caravans bought off site. I know that the vast majority of sites won't accept off site caravans. You either have to buy from those sites themselves or have your caravan already on a site which you wish to relocate from.
I'm simply looking at all the options available to me to get the best value for me and my family. Though I would prefer sites based in either Lancashire. North Yorkshire or Lincolnshire. I am willing to consider anywhere as distance is not an issue. Any and all help is very much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Did you ever find a holiday park with decent facilities that let you take your caravan on site?

I would be very surprised if they did, and I don't think they have been on here since that post. A lot of people come on here and ask that very same question, find that it's nigh-on impossible, and we never hear from them again.

I must have missed that when I went past it last Monday (21st) when I went to Clacton. Hadn't been there for a while. Any idea which site, as I know the area having lived there for a short while in the late 1960s.

Actually, not impossible. I found Tingdene...turns out they actively advertise that they accept offsite caravans...while they don't have loads of facilities they do have the basic (i.e. restaurant/pub, play area etc) There were also a few others smaller leisure sites who accept at a charge of between £5000- £10,000.

There are two on Jaywick Lane in Clacton they allow bring ons, one of the sites has just expanded. Not sure if there is a cost though

Good luck. It's very difficult to find anywhere that will take a static they haven't sold. I would imagine that the few sites that do have a waiting list as long as your arm, and probably charge a fortune to site it. Transport costs are high too. Often it can work out cheaper to sell what you've got where it is, if the site allows that, and buy from the site you want to go to. Sites make their money from sales and siting fees, but mostly from sales, which is why it is very difficult to find a site to take a static that you already own. It's also why unsited statics sell for pennies.

I have still not heard of anyone who has successfully moved a static from one site to another regardless of the age of the van, has anyone done it?

Tingdene Lifestyle are still advertising that they accept bring-ons on some of their sites.
There are terms, conditions, and costs, but could be worth a call.
Although I still suspect that the suggestion above to sell yours and purchase again could end up as the cheapest option.
https://www.tingdenelifestyleparks.co.uk/bring-your-caravan-to-us.
I am, of course, assuming that you are looking for a holiday park - it will not be possible for a residential park.

Not sure if its the same now but about 7 years ago we looked at static caravans at Salop Leisure in Shrewsbury. The salesman said if we bought from them we could choose which site we wanted it on and there was a big map with a lot of sites on to choose from. Don’t know if there was a charge for delivering it to the site but there was a siting charge of around £3000 if I recall.
We opted for a 6 berth tourer (used) instead which they delivered free to a site near Aberystwyth. We had found the site ourselves prior to going to Salop. The first time we went it was all sited on a seasonal pitch of which the annual charge cost less than half what a static pitch cost. The idea was to stay on the site for a couple of years and then move to a different site. Either we tow it ourselves or there are companies who will tow it for you for around £2-300 depending on the distance.
