We are trying to find a site closer to where we live for our Willerby New Hampshire "lodge" it is 40ftx16, anyone know if they can be transported as they are a lot bigger than the average static, the only reason for wanting to move it is we are trying to sell it because of the fact we dont get to use it where it is and would probably use it more closer to home.
Would suggest you trying to find a site that will take it first. Most sites these days will only take vans sold by them or already sited prtor to private sale.
i have friend who moves large boats about all over the place on a low loader and abroad, you could ring him.andy rosthorn 01254 705225.he may say no but its worth asking.
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
I reckon it would be transported in two halves like mobile homes are so it means dismantling it and reasembling on new site. This is gonna be quite an expensive thing to do i would think. I agree that you would need to find a site that will take you first. Once you have found your site i am sure they could put you in contact with a company that can do this for you.
I dont think 16ft wide caravans would be dismantled, when you find a park that will take you they should be able to suggest they're usual delivery man. I'm sure they will be able to help you with that side of things.
It will be an expensive job though, as you will not only have transport fees but disconnection fees etc.
