Hi ,I'm a new static owner and have yet to find a site for it. I'm not having much luck researching sites where i can put it.I'd like to live as close to London as possible so not bothered too much about which county i put it in-Kent,Essex etc.
I need to find residential sites that takes large statics(37ft),any help with my search would be very much appreciatted.I'm new to all this and help/advice from more experienced static owners is priceless. Thanks Steve (-:
Hi steve.sorry can't help with your request but I think most sites on here are only open for 11 months or less'and are classed as holiday sites. If you're looking for a residential park I've yet to read of one on here.however, have you used the search facility on here?it may just help.hope you find somewhere.

Can anyone give me any advice on how to go about living in a static. They seem cheap enough to buy, but when they go up for sale in the North Warwickshire area, there always seems to be this rule that you have to be over 50!
Why is this. I cannot afford a mortgage and renting is dead money, the council have nothing as I have been bidding on UChoose for the last 9 months on over 95 properties and up against 20+ other people.
I thought about buying a narrow boat, but to get a liveaboard which is half decent, your looking at £30k.
What is the answer for young, working people who do not want to waste their lifes mortgaged up to the eyeballs.

The main problem with living in a static is that most parks only have a holiday licence. This means you can only stay on there for between 8-10 months usually although there are a few parks about that give a bit less or longer.
There are a few proper residential parks about but the ground rent will be quite alot, you will have to pay council tax and the static itself will be a park home which tend to start at around £50,000 depending on the park.
You may be tempted by some sites that only have a holiday licence but offer you to stay there all year, of course this is an option but if the park ever gets caught then you're out of your home.
