If it has single glazing its always going to be a problem really. When i had my first static i had to wipe all the windows in the morning. They were always dripping wet. I would invest in a reasonable quality dehumidifier.
it also helps not to leave wet dishcloths/towels etc around and make sure that your air vents are not blocked. using a mobile lpg heater also contributes to the amount of condensation inside a van.
Films didnt work well for me, but I didnt put it on very well and I couldnt open the window
Try wiping the windows with a dot of washing up liquid on a lightly damp cloth, it stops mirrors misting up, and a small fan to keep the air moving a bit more.
A dehumidifier works best, and like Debbie said, keep indoor steam and damp to a min
We find making sure the shower room is toasty warm and then opening the window directly after we shower, and always having a couple of windows open when we cook helps stop the condensation during the day. We still have to wipe all windows in the morning though, it's just one of those chores we have to do.
Thanks. My solution for the 'morning mop-up' has been to buy a Karcher window vacuum. It''s absolutely fantastic. Leaves the windows sparkling clean and dry and takes no time at all. Not least because the kids fight over whose turn it is to do the windows!!!
Main problem is they cost around fifty quid so are expensive - but for me it's worth every penny. The morning mop was a job I hated. Silly, I know - but that's just me!?
We laughing call our van the money pit now if I were to suggest swapping a squeegy and cloth for £50 of equipment to do the same job I think my husband might think I had flipped entirely
