Purely as a matter of interest, as I am highly unlikely to ever own a static, I would like to know of any site anywhere in Britain that will site a static of any age from outside. Most if not all will only site statics they have sold. This information would be extremely useful to have as this question crops up very regularly on here.
For this reason, to the original poster, I would say don't even think of buying a static that is unsited unless you either have a site already lined up, or have your own piece of land and the relevant permission required to put a static on it. Someone on here recently had their own land on which they put a static, then got told by the local authority to move it as they didn't have permission to put it there.
An unsited static is virtually worthless unless you are someone who wants it to put in a garden while you renovate a house, or a company that wants it as a site hut. That's where most of them end up.

Colin

Very useful information, 5867. Maybe admin might make a note of that somewhere as people are always asking.

I’m looking for a site that will let me pitch my static around Cheshire wales Wirral or bebington or port sunlight Elsmereport areas ASAP
Apart from the one mentioned above in 2018, I haven't heard of any site anywhere in Britain that will site a static they haven't sold. Site owners have it well sewn up between them. Yours is a question that crops up regularly on here, in all areas of Britain, and I have yet to see anyone come back and say that they have found somewhere. Many sites also have a 10 year rule which means that even if they have sold a static on their site, once it reaches 10 years old it has to go, even if it is immaculate.
Apparently France is quite different and there are sites over there that will take British statics, even older ones. If you want to keep the one you have that may be your best bet, but if you want to go somewhere specific in Britain the best bet would be to sell the one you have, find a site in the area that you want to go to, and buy one from them.

Colin

Parkdean and Haven both show they will accept statics from other sites on their websites- whether they do I don't know but internet searches show they do.
For sure the Lloyds Robin Hood parks in North Wales accept vans from other sites and even offer to move them for free - see link below.
There are loads of static parks in North Wales and we see older statics being moved most weeks so would certainly try parks in the area.

That is very useful information if they will honour it, as people are always asking that question. It would be great to find out how this works out.

Tingdene Lifestyle also say they accept bring-ons on certain parks.
My understanding is that any park which accepts bring-ons only takes them when they have vacant pitches and low demand for new homes, and instead use bring-ons to replace their missing revenue.
Usually they only accept statics being moved from another park, not one purchased from an outside trader.
As soon as things get busy again, the space for bring-ons vanishes as the park no longer needs them.
Unfortunately, nobody ever comes back with details of a success story so as far as we all know, nobody has ever succeeded in moving their static from park A to park B.

Can you state the name if the caravan site you are referring to? Thanks
The thread was started over 12 years ago so unlikely to get an answer?
