Hi Paula. We had 2 statics that were both fitted with double glazing & central heating, and yes they were lovely and warm. The 1st one we had we got from new so it was definitely better insulated and had pitched tiled roof and the van was well insulated underneath, so the heating costs were not to bad. The second one was pre owned and older with the metal curved roof and was certainly more expensive to run but just as warm and cosy. As for getting electric heating, you MUST find out how many amps feed you have going into your van. We have just bought an older van with no central heating, but has panel heaters. Our one main concern is our supply is only 10amp, so we will have to be careful how many electric appliances we have going at once. As we dont intend using it too much in winter I hope we will be ok. So if I were you and you have a good ampage to your van, I would start with electric heaters, as convector heaters are cheap to buy and see how you get on without spending a fortune on central heating. We are hopefully going to ours next week for the 1st time since buying it so it will be interesting to see how we get on without our beloved central heating. Geoff
