If you are on a site I suggest you check with the site operator whether they will allow you to purchase decking and install it yourself. Many sites only allow decking to installed/erected by one of their own approved suppliers. The site where I have a static does not allow caravan owners to erect their own decking(timber decking not allowed)as most owners do not have public liabilty insurance covering the decking if there is an accident etc. Also plans for the decking generally must be submitted to, and approved by the site
theyre on a site in spain I believe - the rules are different from country to country and site to site. public iability insurance ?? ---- guffaw, guffaw, some site operators make strange suggestions at times to cover up for their greed -
your initial comment to check is a valid one and I assumed they did that before asking about buying one!
to the OP - there is a place near me in Clacton that sell quite a few second hand decks, might be worth an internet search - have you considered an enclosed deck? we have one in france that virtually doubles the size of the living area. do a search for Terrasse du Lyss if you want an idea of what I mean
Actually we live in Spain but our static is in UK. Our site does recommend an approved supplier but they are so expensive, we were looking for other options. Thanks for all comments.
