Hi,
We are unfortunately having to sell our caravan back to the site due to a change in circumstances. When we went through the list of all the extras we had unwittingly paid for originally it seems we were charged for the aerial , steps and fridge etc. So does this mean that now we are selling it back to them that these items are actually ours as they are basing the price on a 'metal box' - their words! And we have actually paid for all these things as we didn't have finance.
When I sold my static back to the site I removed the fridge and the bunker which we had paid for separately. I would have taken the platform and steps if I'd had time to sell them on!
If you have a separate sale receipt for the additional items then I should think you have a good argument that they don't need to be included in the sale back to the site. Have you checked your original site contract? There may be a section that specifies what is and isn't included.
Is there a reason you are selling your van back to the site and not privately. Normal procedure is you offer it to the site 1st, they make you an offer, you say your having a laugh, then sell it privately at a fair price. The site then take their commission usually 15% of what you sell it for. As for contents and aeriel, they are yours, my advice would be, if you sell the van privately, include them in the price. The steps on the other hand might belong to the site, as they are usually supplied to give access to your van.
