We used to go at New Year every year when we had a static. We didn't have central heating either. We took an electric blanket and plenty of warm clothes and it was fine. We also had a tourer on a 12 month seasonal pitch which we used between Christmas and new year without any problems.

Ours doesnt have central heating and I am sitting in ours now typing this. This is the 1st one we have owned without central heating. We have panel heaters and though they dont chuck out loads of heat they do keep the chill off. I have added a couple more higher wattage ones and along with the gas fire, keep us warm. Now the problem... I would add more higher wattage panel heaters, but this is one thing I would strongly advise all new owners, check what ampage is supplied to your van. Our site only supply 10amp, which restricts the amount of electrical appliances we can have running at the same time without tripping the supply. We are used to it and know what we can get away with. The other thing we did, was buy a shorter length van, this one is only 32ft as opposed to 37ft ones we have had in the past. If you have a higher ampage supply then keeping a van warm and cozy even without central heating in colder months should be easy. As I say we manage, with a bit of turning heat off in bedroom in the day, then turn heating off in living area about half hour before bed, to turn heating on in bedroom. Heating in the hallway and bathroom stays on all the time in colder months. But yes I would love a bit more ampage supplied to the van, to stop the juggling with heaters. On the plus side it does keep the leccy bills down.
