Im currently looking at purchasing a static caravan, Ive looked a various parks and dealers ships etc, Ive discovered I can get a lot more for my money buying from a dealer rather than buying from a Site even with extra charges from sites,

What I am wanting to know is what sites are around in the east Yorkshire area where I can take my own static, not relocate as that is different, I want to buy from a dealer and have it sited onto a site,

A bit of a minefield I would imagine. Most, if not all sites anywhere in Britain will only site a static they have sold, but I would imagine that most dealers would have an arrangement of some kind with certain sites. I would start by talking to the dealers if you have found a particular unit you like, and ask them if they have any sites where you could site it. I don't see how any dealer could expect to sell many units without sites to put them on. One thing to take into account though is that the site will almost certainly try to charge you a siting fee for any new unit they haven't sold, and this may eliminate any price difference. If they sell you a sited unit, siting fees may well be included in the price, but this may be by negotiation.

don't do it !!!

read through the threads on this forum re buying first, siting later - or resiting caravans. it is very much the same thing and will be seen as such by site owners/operators UNLESS the dealer has some sort of 'relationship' with the site -

Definitely agree with MisterB1959. Don't even think of buying any static until you have a signed contract with a site to put it on. If the dealer you are buying from doesn't offer you such a contract, walk away! Any unsited static is virtually worthless.

Great advice already given, don't do it. Bite the bullet and buy from a site to save the pain afterwards

All good advice but I do know of a site that may fit your requirements. It is called Windmill Country Park & it is just outside Burton Fleming so not far from Brid, Filey, & Scarborough.
The owners don’t sell vans but have a few available pitches for new (or newish) statics to go on. They have some sort of arrangement with Bridlington Caravans but I don’t know if you could buy elsewhere.
If your interested you should contact the owners and see what is possible.

before you do though, check the terms on the site -

is there an age limit on vans or do you have to remove/replace after 10/15years?
is there a 'siting' fee nd what does it entail (water, sewerage connections etc)
what is the process for selling - can it be done privately or only through the site. do the site take a fee/percentage? is there a transfer of ownership fee?

if youre happy with the answers (and poss the windmill site is fine for you) then speak to them about buying your van (even privately as there are some fantastic nearly new second hand vans around this time of year as people decide to renew their site fees) and siting it with them
