Hi. I am looking for a site with no age limit on vans. Within about 100 mile radius of Gloucestershire.

Hi Carolyn and welcome to the forum, from what other Static caravan owners have said on here in the past, the type of sites that you are looking for are as rare as Hens Teeth, especially if you havent purchased the caravan already sited from the site operator or owner, or managed to buy yourself a plot of land where a Static caravan would be allowed. The Latter is sometimes possible if you are using the static short term as a tempory home whilst a new house is being built on site as your future permanent home.
In this case it should be included at the planning stage and a time limit imposed by the local Planning department of the local council as to how long you will be able to keep your static onsite.

A static caravan sold unsited without a pitch is worth very little indeed, even if its just out of its age limit for being welcome on the site that it has been forced off by the site rules and regulations, often at just 10 years old.

Julia

100 mile radius is a very long way to travel for a holiday static - are you looking for a holiday site or a residential site?
If residential, then a licensed residential site will not have any age limit on the home - but you will have to buy either a new one from the park, or one already on the park from the current owner.
If a holiday site, as already said above, it is very difficult to find sites that will allow bring-ons, and it will be impossible to find a site with "no age limit" written into the contract.
You may find sites that do not specify any age, and these usually give a rolling contract for 12 months at a time - which means you may be able to keep the van there for years and years, OR it may mean that when there is a change of policy or management, you are told that your contract will not be renewed.
There is already a lot of discussion about this, and some good advice from other members, on the posts below, so have a read through and decide what you are really looking fr.
And - just in case - I will repeat, Do NOT try and live on a holiday site - the risks are simply not wroth it.

My last post was not very helpful - sorry.
As said, you will not find a site with "no age limit" written down, but there should be sites with a more relaxed attitude - as long as you can accept the risk that if there is a change of policy, then your contract may not be extended. The site most likely to suit you will probably be one of the smaller sites which may not have a website.
Try either doing a general Google search, then telephoning,
OR contact the licensing councils in the areas you are interested in for a list of holiday static caravan sites in their areas (some councils put details on their website, most do not).
Either way, it will probably come down to a lot of leg and telephone work.
If you already have a static that you want to move, that will narrow your options considerably (and add to the cost) but if you simply want to buy a static on a site where you can get a few years fun, then you should be able to find something.
Alternatively, if you are able to get a new static, look for a site which gives a very long agreement - some give 15 years, and in 15 years you may well be ready to try something new.
But, again as said, if you are looking for something to live in,then you need a residential site (try the parkhome-living.co.uk website and forum for residential).

Just to add to what has been said above, and which I completely agree with, DO NOT under any circumstances buy an un-sited static unless you already have somewhere to put it. Even if its nearly new you will be very unlikely to find anywhere in Britain that will allow you to site it. Most, if not all, site owners will only site a static they have sold to you.

Best Regards,
Colin

Cotswold grange country park near Tewkesbury in a beuatiful village called Twyning, they have no age limit on their vans as long as you purchase from them, they regularly have starter vans from £6999

We have a beautiful but old 1999 Atlas 3 bedroom one there, we use it as a bolt hole at weekends as its open 10 months of the year and currently my Mum uses it a lot as she is going through a horrendous divorce.
