Hi we have just purchased a used static caravan for first time. Love the size and layout but not keen on the frilly curtains everywhere. If you remove the valance what is under there? Does it hide an unsightly something or other? If we replaced curtains with blinds do you buy usual household blinds or are there any specific ones needed for caravans? Thanks in advance.

depends whether the valance is fixed to a pelmet or not, quite often they are just fixed with velcro, to help with washing.

a caravan is just a metal house, nothing special about anything in there !!

though expect to pay more if you shop at caravan suppliers as opposed to dunelm, the range etc

we have previously bought 'domestic' curtains and either altered them ourselves or had them altered. Sweet Tinas in Clacton on Sea did a great job for us at a reasonable price

Look on Facebook (Pimp my Static Est 2018) that's the name of the group! There are lots of :before and :after pictures of caravans being painted and decorated and also lots of tips and information on all aspects! 👍
