the only thing i can find is a static site, nothing for tourer on it at all. there i no access to the beach due to very high cliffs, and you have the main eat cost railway line running right alongside the site so wont be all that quiet either

Feeblecat, looks like you’ve decided not to stay where you’ve had your seasonal for a short while. Hope you find your perfect site!
Hi, no Fiona, I'm staying at Glenearly. Currently looking at buying a static there as we do love the area and the site and location is perfect for us. This is for a friend who is looking to go to the Berwick area but wants to avoid the busier parks. I have never heard of this farm site and neither has she.
Feeblecat if your friend wants to go to or near Berwick I can recommend Chainbridge caravan park, only a small site, 19 pitches I think, we have been there 3 times, walk out of the site and walk 200 yards across the chain bridge which is over the river tweed and you are in Scotland, Berwick is about 2-3 miles away, this post is assuming he has a tourer or motorhome.
You can, or could, get to the beach via a tunnel or a very steep slope, not sure if it is possible now. The northernmost beach in England btw. Lovely if you can make it.

Thanks. No, she is looking for a static. It sounds ideal for me though if it takes tourers as we will still be doing a bit of touring for a change of scenery from our static and we like to stick to smaller sites.
Good! I thought Glenearly might have changed hands.
Chainbridge is a pleasant site, booking essential; follow signs to the Honey Farm (if it’s survived the pandemic).
However, I think it might be difficult to find a “quiet” static site along that coast as it’s a popular a holiday destination.
Not at the coast, but Lilliardsedge has statics to buy (& rent, I think), plus a touring & tenting area, with bus access to Jedburgh in one direction & Melrose in the other, and it’s own quite good little golf course. Not near a beach though. It’s a huge site but feels small because it’s broken up by trees.
But hopefully that Farm site will suit!

I do hope it never does, the folk who own it are lovely and the site is just what we love.
Our plan when we get the static is to buy an old 2 berth tourer (a bed on wheels lol) to still camp elsewhere when we fancy a change. We're past the tent camping!
We all went to a site in Berwick many years ago. Whilst we loved the area the site was too big. My pal still hankers for that area and is at the "searching" stage. And we can still meet up with them for odd weekends.
