Hi everyone!
Has anyone found a cheap and cheerful solution to a weak wifi signal in their static caravan? or in a sited mobile caravan? I don't mind paying for the on-site wifi (£30 for six months) , but the signal is so weak and slow, I rarely get more than one bar. I think I need a booster of some kind. There are tons of them on Amazon, but which one? Can anyone recommend one?
I don't want to tether my phone, it's on a payg contract. All I use the internet for is to use What'sapp on my phone, and for a kindle HD10 connection, but it's so slow/weak, it often times out when loading some sites.
And ideas or recommendations welcome!

I've tried the search facility and couldn't find any! the ones I eventually found were over 12 months old, so not sure if the info was up to date.
Thanks anyway. :)

wifi booster, signal booster, then there is wifi, this one covers a myriad of things so some digging may be involved.

We have given up trying to use the wifi on sites with the exception of one site we use who have superfast wifi. We have found that the signal is usually weak unless you are very close to their transmitter and even if you get a decent signal, the speed is usually rubbish as it is being shared among so many units.
You can get wifi signal boosters but I noticed a few sites last year with signs up saying that if they find anyone using a signal booster, they will be asked to leave the site. I think this might be because if you boost your signal, there is less for other people to use!
Instead of bothering with wifi, we bought a TP Link 4G router and when we go away, we either pop the SIM card from one of our phones in it (for a short break) or, for longer holidays, we buy an unlimited or 100 or 200gb data sim on a 1 month or PAYG contract and just use it while we are away. I am on a network that piggybacks on the EE signal and my husband is on a network that piggybacks on the Vodafone signal so we just use whichever gives the best signal when we arrive on site. We use it for streaming television in the evening, browsing the internet, downloading our daily newspapers, the occasional video conference when things at work suddenly go crazy, emailing, checking the weather forecast etc so I would consider us quite heavy users. We have just returned from a three night break and we used 10gb of data in the three nights. I would say that this was heavier than usual for us because the weather was terrible so we were inside the caravan for longer than usual in the evenings, but I would say that 3gb a day would usually be ample for us. If you don’t stream television then you wouldn’t need anywhere near this amount and there are some really good deals on 50gb data a month for around £8. This would be £48 for 6 months, so a bit more expensive than what you are paying for wifi, but if you get a good signal, you may think it is worth it. Of course, this would depend on whether any of the mobile networks have a decent signal where you are based.

Many thanks for all the suggestions. Really helpful.
I've just found out that the site locks in two devices, and is a secure site. It resets overnight and you have to log in with your password every day.
It's a pain. I've paid my £30 for six months, so it looks like I'll just have to put up with it for now!
I think I'll eventually have to go down the mifi route. I was hoping to avoid having yet another monthly bill.
