Hi,

I am looking for a small peaceful static caravan site with reasonable rates somewhere in the Penrith to Kendal area.  If possible I'd like to buy a 'van that is already sited or even provide my own new/nearly new 'van.  If I use Barons or Kendal they want to charge me £25000 plus £2500 delivery and siting fee then I'd have to clear the pitch when 'van is 10 or 12 years old. - what a rip off!!

  There is a lovely site near Ambleside called Skelwith fold, it has a web site and is in the camp site search but perhaps it's not quite in the area you wanted. It has statics but no tents and it is such a lovely peaceful place, the only thing that will wake you up early morning are the baby deer, one woke us up it was very loud but we didn't mind as the site of it in the shrubery surrounded by the trees and early moorning mist was a sight to be seen.
