Or south Warwickshire. We will be coming from the north west and then to home at Luton. Only need ehu and an open site (no trees). Easiest possible access from M40. £25 pn or less.

We have often used Park farm near Brackley. It is a c&cc cs site. Not been there for a while so not sure about opening dates or cost, but could be worth looking at.

Looks ideal! Not a tree in sight on Google aerial photos; praise for owners, one review complaining about the noise from machinery got a polite rebuttal saying they’re a working farm. Honestly! And the same reviewer knocked off a star because there’s no drive-over MH drain!! It’s a CL, I don’t understand this expectation for commercial facilities on a 5 pitch site.

Yes it does Fiona, but I haven't heard from them yet. May have to phone. The "best" reviews are along the lines of "there's no loo or shower". There is such a thing as a search engine ..

Kirby Farm is great - we live in the next village but have used it for ‘maiden outings’ for friends’ motorhomes etc. The lady that owns it will give you some very comprehensive info about amenities and attractions in the area. Good walking direct from the site too.

To the south of Banbury (but not too far) is Twilite Leisure Park https://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=5258

I think it was pretty open, and did have EHU. It was fairly quiet for a bank holiday weekend when we stayed as adults only, and had some people staying there for work.

Fir Tree Farm Caravan Site is nice. Open, no trees. Easily accessible from M40. Stayed a few years ago and was £16 a night. You'll need to email them using the form to get their current pricing.
