We have to go to Raunds to pick up the caravan from a workshop. This is 50 miles along the M1 and A45. Have found a site at Crick, Northhants for a first stop. Need a site near the M6 toll from which we can easily get to the M54 without having to use the toll again and pay twice. Have found one called The Paddock, WS9 OLX. Any ideas on this or another CL/CS?

i think the thing is most people would just do the whole trip or have a max of one stop, but be careful with the caravan around crick, dont leave your van unattended and make sure its properly locked with all the security you can get on it, its a hot spot for things going missing very quickly if you catch my drift?
Thanks for the warning. We (well, OH) don't like driving more than 70 miles. One stop would be near the M6 toll, we try and avoid the M6 though Birmingham.

which you could do easily by missing out the crick site, dont forget your not towing the first 40 miles so could go up via bedford, take a flask and some sarnies and once picked the caravan up have a break, 86 miles no m6 if you go up the a5, saving you £15 and the price of a site overnight
Only just seen this for some reason. Yes, we could go round Bedford and have done, but although it's only 36 miles it is a far more trying route than M1/A45, with all the roundabouts.
