This is probably a long shot
We have a French bulldog who experiences saw paws when walking for a while on concrete/ hard surfaces which restricts us from going out walking when we go away in our touring caravan.
Any recommendations would be helpful of any sites in the uk that would suit our dog

I don't know, but think that you can get doggy shoes which may help.

i would have said the doggy shoes too, then it gives you a wider range of walks. start with a pair of toddlers socks to see how he takes to them, some dogs are ok and some just frankly are hilarious trying to do the walk of shame with them on! lol

the other idea would be a doggy pram

Search & rescue dogs wear booties to protect their paws. Some hill walkers put them on their dogs’ feet too, so good outdoor shops have them. But if you don’t tick for Hardstanding in the Site Search, you’ll find grass pitches - more likely on Certificated Sites (farms etc).
I know several sites that would suit, but (as said) we do need a steer on where you’re interested in going.

Thank you for your comments, much appreciated. Possibly lake, Peak District, North and East Yorkshire and Wales.
The hard standing pitches not really the problem, it the walking.

Try the filter for Campsites with Offroad Dog walks - move the pointer to the area you fancy, and add any other filters you want, such as EHU, showers or whatever.

A place on an estuary or shore like Bolton le Sands where you can roam a little on the salt marsh.

Go coastal! Look for sites (that take dogs) by a beach, albeit being aware that some beaches don’t allow dogs in the summer months.
Ruling myself out of making recommendations - we’re too far away.

The Gower Peninsula in South Wales may suit? Has beaches and sand dunes, but don't know about dog beach rules. Or a bit further east, Merthyr Mawr, which has a huge area of sand dunes.

Plenty of styles of boots or socks available, wide range of prices, cheap ones (<£10) worth trying first; and a Frenchie modelling stockings, which would do away with the need for straps at the ankles.

Ravenglass campsite if you are in the correct club - then walking on either side of the estuary and in the dunes at Eskmeals.

Don't know if the area suits, but Small Batch campsite at Little Stretton has a stile (with a doggy door) at the end of the grass camping field leading to a grassy valley walk; might be worth exploring. Dog-friendly site, very charming, short walk to a pub, lovely countryside around. https://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=2303

I know the Lake District pretty well, and most paths are stone chippings/rock, for the simple reason that it's partly the natural landscape, and partly the only durable (and natural) maintenance option to cope with over 18 MILLION tourists a year, that figure rises to over 29 million a year if you add in day visitors! … that's an awful lot of wear and tear on paths that are frequently inaccessible to any kind of ground vehicle! Repairs are done with locally available resources OR helicoptered in!

I've taken several dogs there over the decades, and they've been fine, but they've never suffered with delicate feet normally, I do keep a close eye on their pads to ensure they are not suffering any damage, before subjecting them to another long hill walk.

Don't know the Peak District quite so well, but the times I've been there, again paths seem to be rock/stone chippings. It's another high footfall region, so paths have to be durable and maintained in a manner in keeping with the landscape.

I love both areas and so does my dog, so can recommend, but for delicate doggy paws, reckon booties are your best option, otherwise you really won't get to see the best of the areas.
