A CL or CS that isn't surrounded by trees please. I didn't think that Essex was a very wooded county but I am struggling to find a small site (only ehu and hardstanding needed) which is an open area.

Bit off your chosen patch, but is Maldon/Goldhanger too far away?

They don't come much more open and tree free than that one! (presuming looking for good TV/satellite reception!). Stayed there a few times, always been good. Not HS but the ground is like rock and never seen anyone have bogging issues, even MHs have no trouble after torrential rain.

There is lower Wyburns Farm (caravan and camping)just off the A127. Looks a bit bleak but not too many trees.

I could offer my driveway but I think the pitch fees would be too much for you

Lower Wyburns has no available hardstanding and the grass is too wet, hardly surprising. Have booked Shopland Hall equestrian centre near Rochford.
