We will be staying at the CMC site penrhos for a few days . Is there a bus service near by to save driving every where .
What are the must see places to visit .

Try downloading the free Traveline GB app. I use the Traveline Scotland app to plan bus (& train) journeys before I go somewhere, but also to show me where the nearest bus stop is when I’m at a site. Couldn’t do without it.
And / or phone the Site Manager ahead of going? They’ll know.
Can’t advise on what to see in Anglesey.

There are some stunning places on Anglesey and they are probably all accessible by bus? The site wardens should be able to advise.

Our favourite place is Newborough Forest and the walk from there onto Llandwyn Island (magical). Also we loved Beaumaris (and its castle and small pier). Would love to get back there soon.

Would second Llandwyn Island, and the church on a tidal island further up the coast, whose name escapes me. The lighthouse on Holy Island, where there are lovely beaches. Don't bother with Holyhead town which is a dump; there is an out of town shopping area outside it to the east, and decent convenience shops at Valley. Go to Rhoscolyn beach when the tide is out. Buses certainly don't go to Rhoscolyn though. There is a lovely pub called The Eagle on the way here.

We love going to Anglesey, I think if you go you will need to drive a fair bit if you want to see a lot of the interesting places, we love walking but we still have to drive to some of the of the places to do the walks

Oriel Ynys Mon at Llangefni is a good place to visit, especially if the weather isn't very kind. Plenty of art and craft work to see, gift shop (start the Christmas shopping early!) and a pleasant cafe.

We walked south from Rhoscolyn once and came across a family of seals, big white bull with his harem.

The nearest bus route to the site runs through Brynteg, which I am thinking is about a 15 minute walk from the site.

There are plenty of bus routes all over the island but as said before to get to some of the best beaches you do need to walk often a couple of miles. That said there are as many beaches with car parks nearby so worth having a look. (Red Wharf bay is beautiful and has a car park).

We all like something different but I wouldn't agree with missing Holyhead -(unless you want to walk around the shops then maybe not). Its got a lovey harbour area with plenty of parking and cafes and there is often food fairs, craft shows etc set up on the grass areas.

I like to see places on a map to see connections: Dash4it website has 1:50,000 OS maps at far less than, say, a Smiths shop & I think Anglesey is all on one map. Apologies if I’m preaching to the converted!
I use my maps as tools - I mark a P at good lay-bys, then another time I know where we could stop for lunch or to change drivers.
