Not on your life! We never go away when the schools are on holiday. In any case, the Heritage Railway I volunteer on opens for business again at Easter after the winter shut-down, so I will be busy. School holidays are always busy on Heritage Railways.
Me and I am off to Salisbury C&CC for a few nights, the traditional start of my camping season, can't wait!

I can’t wait! Work has been a nightmare since coming back after Christmas with 3 members of staff off on long term sick leave. I’ve been doing so much cover along with my own work that I’m totally exhausted so I am really looking forward to a week away in the caravan.
Easter (specifically Easter 1994) is the reason why we first bought a caravan. A very old one which cost £200 from our next door neighbour. We took our tent to the Lake District, no heating, it snowed. We have had a good few caravans since.
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
We shall be back home for Easter, and then back off again after. Avoided bank holidays and schools holidays for last 26 years since retiring as we have all the rest of the year,

As we always use CLs/CSs it is unlikely that there will be any children on the sites.
It's not having children on the site that puts us off, although I know some can be a nuisance, it's the fact that everywhere is more crowded and much more expensive. As has already been said, being retired we have all the rest of the year so we never go away when the schools are off. We quite often go to adults-only sites anyway.
Bank holidays and school holidays is not a children problem, but when leaving site to go out for the day it is more of a parking problem plus sites increase their prices . Also use adult only sites if possible in the areas we choose to go. The reason for this is in 1995 whilst still working went on a site in the Easter with a brand new caravan first time used, and was damaged by children on site. Had to have a complete new side panel.

We are members of National Trust and English Heritage so go to local places of interest. We hardly ever eat out, so it's the above, country walks and trips to the supermarket.
Easter is usually too cold for less hardy critters and ankle biters to come out and play, hence I don't mind staying at the Salisbury C&CC club site.
Having said that, the last time I camped there in a tent over Easter in 2017, I was rudely woken up early one morning by some critters banging on their little metal buckets in readiness to go egg hunting, encouraged by their grandparents who owned the caravan pitched up not too far from my tent.
Later, I had to tell them not to blow bubbles near my tent which did not go down well.
It is too good an extra long weekend not to go camping IMHO and I love it.
