Which is actually nearer to Goole I think. Has anyone been? There is 1 10/10 review on here but on Facebook it's like marmite.

Is that Selbycamping at Bridge Farm Caravan and Camping? I searched on Google Maps for your Selby Caravan Park & it came up with a map with a number of sites but only this one has a similar name. 26 reviews, scores 4.8 / 5, plenty of photos.
If I have got the wrong one, I apologise - just use Google maps yourself to find the right one. (I am not on FB.)

i dont think that bridge farm one is any good for you mrs B, too many trees to the south on the site

Thanks marg6. I have found Squires at Newthorpe which is a biker cafe with a caravan site, will have to check the lie of the land.

Just looked it up again and the trains don't run at night. It's only for 2 nights en route to Whitby.

yeah passenger trains but you forget that its also got goods trains running all night long, they dont show up on timetables! i know from experience a bit further along that line and using a truck stop

why are you going that way to whitby?

a1 - a64 around york towards malton taking the pickering road and then along the a169 to whitby, mind you if this is for christmas anyway you go may be pushing it a bit, esp if it snows

Thanks, well, the M1/M18/A1 I thought would be better, I don't like how the A1 changes from motorway to A road and back again.

Just come back from Whitby. Used the A1 then A 64 round York didn’t stop once. Much prefer the A1 to the M1.
The A169 is an interesting road, quite hilly in places with a couple of tight bends. We came across a few caravans negotiating the hills some better than others.

Thanks, where is home? We are only 2 miles from the M1, have to go up the A6 and round Bedford to the Black Cat roundabout for the A1.
