Right Steve now I am feeling better about my forthcoming trip to Filey I will pick your brains!

How far is the walk to Filey?

We don't mind a good walk,we walk from Cayton Bay to Scarborough and back so we can manage a few miles!

Can you walk on the beach to Filey from the site (tide permitting!)?

I have heard there is no access to the beach from the site.

How far is the walk to Cayton Bay ,walking we have a motorhome so we tend to leave it on site and walk everywhere.

You can walk to the top of the cliff and the cleveland way passes accross the top, i have not walked it as far as filey but it would only be a couple of miles. Also the walk to cayton bay would be less than a mile as well in the opposite direction but never walked it . You cannot get onto the beach but i think once you set off towards filey on the cleveland way access is available further on.Not sure if you can walk on the beach to filey once accessed

There is a good bus service to filey, bridlington and scarborough at the entrance to the site.

If you need any advice when you get there the reception staff are very helpful.

Also on Sundays there is an open air market and car boot acroos the road from the site.

We.re at FOM next week went last year and tis only a pleasant i/2 hour walk to Filey-get to inghams for best and biggest F&C onthe east coast!

Went to Blue Dolphin on our maiden voyage (cos couldn,t get anywhere else) never,nay never, again- Sunday morning local park showers are sterile in comparison.
