Nunnington said just turn up and if they don't have space, then they will direct people to Scotts Farm........AAAAAAAGH!!!!!

I have visited Wicks Farm and it is lovely. But yes you do need to book well in advance and I can't do that. The whole point of camping is to take off when the mood takes you in my view.   I think I have to accept that I will have to drive a bit further afield. Its the south coast thing. Too easy to get to for too many people.

Last year we stayed at Nunnington and it was horrendous.   The noise was to be believed.   That was where we had the encounter with Gadget man. Another story - a long one. Add to that the field behind Nunnington was being used for clay pigeon shooting all weekend. AAARRR!!!

Also we went for breakfast at Bosham late Sunday morning and it took us no less than two hours to get back to Nunnington.   Never again.

It was one of the most stressful weekends of my life.   I felt like I had been locked in my worst nightmare, an overcrowded cruise ship and no means of escape.

What I really want is to be able to spend the night in the car park at West Wittering.   Bird watching in the estuary in the morning. Kids on the beach all day with the tide out at just the right time. Bit of a breeze for kite flying, but not so much the barbeque and gas cooker can't stay alight. The best of british sunsets and then watch the birds in the estuary again in the evening as the sun goes down!   Not too many people there and the sunshine wall to wall all day.

Perfick!!!
