have a look at bucklegrove at rodney stoke near cheddar. we have just come back from the area very nice. cheddar gorge is well worth a visit. but give the cheese makers a miss, the rest is excellent. we enjoyed walking up the gorge last night after all the tourists had gone home. lots of eating places. a nice few days we stayed at cc site but the c&cc site is at priddy and we passed bucklegrove which had quite a few tents in their own field.
We found this to be a very noisy and not paticulalry welcoming site - perhaps we were just unlucky with the weekend that we stayed but don't go here because you will run the risk of being put off the whole camping experience.
