If you particularly want to go to that area why not have a look at the sites in and around St Ives? There are many in several different price ranges to suit everyone's pocket from the upmarket Polmanter to lots of budget priced places.

The beauty of St Ives is that it is well placed for the north and south coasts as well as The Lizard and Land's End etc. Stacks to see and do and a huge choice of fab beaches to get out on weather permitting.

Cheers!

Vic

I am confused?  Are we talking about "St Just" near Penzance.    here Maps of the world, country map search - powered by Multimap

Or "St Just in Roseland" which is nearer to St Mawes  here  St Just,

My understanding of the original post was the second one, in which case it is a lovely place to be!

Shirlandy, the site I found called Roselands, which is the one I assume the originator is talking about, is the St Just near Lands End.  I think because Roselands was mentioned Vic got confused!

Can I put in a word for both St Just's?

The one is on the Roseland Peninsula is in a lovely spot. Yes as others have said it is in a bit of a cul de sac and not terribly good for families who like to go to a lot of attractions eg Flambards etc. However, if you want a quiet, gentle part of Cornwall with a hatfull of beaches to choose from, some lovely walks, country shows, plenty of boaty type activities including ferries over to Falmouth and only the odd venture off the peninusla out into the holidaying hordes at the Eden Project or whatever then its great.

St Just near St Ives is a different kettle of fish. Very close to Cape Cornwall and some fantastic rugged scenery and scenic clifftop walking. A couple of useful little shops and at least one extremely good  coffeeshop. Handy for Sennen, St Ives, Penzance, Porthcurno/The Minack., various National Trust beaches, airport for Scilly Isles trips. Yes I can imagine it might look spooky in the fog but all of that area, including St Ives, is prone to that sea fog rolling in and I'm not sure St Just would be any worse than any where else in West Penwith. Dead right Ali. Was also having a senior moment!!!!!! I seem to have chucked a spanner in the works.

For that I apologise.
