Just received a booklet today from Park resorts with new touring prices for 2008 at Skipsea sands.

Peak season prices START from £26 a night. If it's anything like our local Park resort then expect to pay around the £40 plus mark.

 R I P Skipsea sands.

Hi

Just had a look on Park resorts website for Skipsea Sands, Pitches are now hardstanding for tourers, tent pitches with electric hook up and standard pitches with no hook up. The site is now only open easter to the end of october.

All pitches used to be with electric hook up so they must have altered all the pitches round to get more on the site to accomodate pitches with no hook ups.Typical Park resort site, pack as many in as possible

Will have to have alook around the site next time we are in the area if we are allowed on out of season.

cheers

steve.

If any company is going to splash out £ 30 million on a site like Skipsea the only way to get that sort of dosh back is to rake the money back of the punters , us

Is that the site near to the cliff edge, if it is the erosion will make it a short investment.

Isn't that Far Grange?

The one thing I remember about this site was the great flying displays by the RAF and USAF when, every morning Monday through Friday, they would carry out bombing practice starting at Flamborough Head and running down the coast at full tilt to just off Spurn Head at the mouth of the Humber.

What a sight and what a noise!

Fantastic!

Vic
