Why don't more people use CSs and CLs? They are usually under £10 per night and often have facilities in addition to ehu. There is no way I would pay anything like £20, we don't have children (would be adults themselves now if we had), so playgrounds etc not a consideration.

Shhhh don't tell everyone

Could the OP post links to the sites he's looking at, it would be interesting to see what facilities they have?

The prices of all types of holiday are increasing and wherever you go you have got to consider the cost of getting there. What other type of holiday can you have for less than £30.00 per night for a family?   If you don't want to pay the prices being charged by campsites then find some other sort of holiday that is cheaper.

yes most caravaners vote with their feet and pay what works out at only £8 per person per night how you thinks thats expensive I just can not work out. Have you ever priced any other holiday sell your van and leave camping to the people who enjoy the service we receive for the modest price in real terms we pay

well what type of post is this then ???sell your van and leave camping to the people who enjoy the service we receive for the modest price in real terms we pay
