We were at this site this weekend and agree that Saturday was very noisy with the firework display in the park next to the site, we are lucky that our dogs are not bothered about noise and ignored it but i fully understand why people were complaining on Sunday about not being informed of this when booking.

I agree with Val that the best area to pitch is turn right after the entrance barrier and go to the top of the site, we were on the narrow part on the site close to the public right of way which did me some cause for concern. It isnt something you expct to find on CC sites and does raise questions about security.

However we will use this site again but we will make sure we go to the top end of the site.

Neil

Hi Neil,

You must have had a very noisy night on Saturday!

Our dog (he was the only chocolate lab on the site, don't know if you noticed him!)

was quite upset and I do think we should have been advised of the bonfire but there again we should have had an idea that there maybe something happening!!

Like you Neil we would use the site again,we were lucky we got at the top end away from the right of way.

One good point, the weather was glorious!

Val

Stayed at this site last year in October and we where camped at the top end.....didn't like the look of the other end it looked very vunerable to me..... I was so glad we weren't by the footpath that went through the site..... There were no problems or noise whilst we were there.  Not sure whether we will visit again as it is so near to us.....been to alot nicer CC sites.
